Soo Kang Lee, Industrial Design 2009 graduate, was recognized for her "Outdoor Chair X" design in the Milan Furniture Design Competition in LG Beyond Student Design Challenge in Milan, Italy.  She designed the chair in the senior (2008) Industrial Design studio class taught by Mark Arends.  Soo was also selected to represent the Industrial Design Program at UIUC at the IDSA's Midwest District Conference.

UDaily (University of Delaware; Newark, July 2) -- Arts And Humanities Summer Institute students participated in the four-week program showcasing their experiences through discussions and poster presentations, including “Reducing Light Damage in Exhibitions,” by Jane Rivas, an Illinois sophomore majoring in art history with a minor in chemistry. A lab assistant at the Illinois' Oak Street Library Conservation Unit, Rivas plans to pursue graduate studies in art conservation.
