We welcome the help of faculty in identifying potential donors who might be inclined to support their departments or programs.

Fundraising Procedures

The Dean of the College, in consultation with the Assistant Dean of development and unit directors, determines fundraising projects, priorities, and opportunities. Individual members of the faculty who wish to receive specific fund-raising assistance should direct their requests first to the head of their departments, who will forward appropriate requests to the dean.

Faculty can help by identifying potential donors. In you know of an individual or entity you believe would be inclined to support your department or program, please contact the College's Advancement Office at (217) 333-1661.

Prospective donors particularly enjoy meeting our professors and talking with them about projects. When it is helpful, development staff will involve you in advancement activities to interact with prospective donors and alumni.
