New Minors in the Arts at Illinois!

 

International Arts Minor

The FAA International Arts Minor complements all majors at the University of Illinois. The FAA International Arts Minor may be taken by students in any UIUC college outside of FAA, and students in FAA (who must chose courses other than those required in the unit of the student’s FAA Major). Students must declare their intentions to pursue the minor with the international minor advisor.

Architectural Studies Minor

This minor is designed for non-architecture undergraduate students who wish to gain an overview of architecture by taking a series of required courses in different disciplines within architecture.

Art History Minor

This minor is designed forstudents who seek to study art history in depth as a complement to their major area of study. It provides an education in art history that is balanced and diverse culturally, temporally and geographically. Students choose from introductory courses that cover a variety of regions, cultures and periods.

Landscape Studies Minor

This minor enables students to gain knowledge of the ecological, social, cultural and historical factors have shaped landscapes of the western and non-western world.

Music Minor

This minor is intended for student musicians with previously established, substantive musical experiences—individuals who wish to expand upon already obtained musical skills and related study. This minor is not intended as an introduction to music. Students who have an interest in music and other arts in an international context should explore the FAA International Arts Minor.
